In bread making she finds the Zen and peace which keep her grounded, and she loves nothing more than to cook a meal for friends. She is also a painter, photographer and published author. In her life before law school, Ruth was very active in her community, sitting on numerous Boards. She was a recipient of the Canada 125 Medal in recognition of her volunteer service. She was also involved in Municipal politics, and served as a Federal Returning Officer in Scarborough. She is the mother of two sons, who have taught her the intricacies of social networking. She lives in Belleville with her partner and their companion animals.
